Phased Perceptions

A Rollercoaster of Mental States

(Ongoing Project)

Failure_edited.png

“Phased Perceptions” is an evolving mixed-media art series exploring the emotional spectrum of bipolar disorder. Using blacklight-reactive paint, texture, and symbolic imagery, each piece represents a distinct mental state—manic highs, depressive lows, and impulsive shifts. Through alternating lighting, hidden layers emerge, mirroring the ever-changing nature of perception, emotion, and reality.

This project is both a personal journey and a larger mission—to spark dialogue, encourage self-reflection, and highlight the power of creative expression in mental health. With two of seven pieces completed, the series continues to take shape, pushing the boundaries of how art can be both seen and felt.

Support This Vision

Every contribution, big or small, helps bring Phased Perceptions to life. If this project resonates with you, consider donating to support its completion and exhibition.

To make this exhibition a reality, I am seeking donations to cover essential costs, including:

🔹 Art Materials – Blacklight-reactive paints, canvases, modeling paste, inks, and mixed-media supplies to complete the remaining pieces.

🔹 Lighting & Installation – Specialized lighting equipment and display setup to ensure the immersive experience transitions between white light and blacklight.

🔹 Gallery & Venue Costs – Space rental, submission fees, and promotional materials for a successful exhibition.

🔹 Printing & Display – Informational plaques, artist statements, and printed materials to enhance viewer engagement.

🔹 Marketing & Outreach – Spreading the word through press releases, social media campaigns, and outreach to galleries and mental health organizations.

This project is more than just an exhibit—it is a mission to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and showcase the power of creative expression as therapy. With two of seven pieces completed, I am working to bring this vision to a larger audience.
